Close game throughout - Giants have the ball late & a chance to take the lead, but an Eli Manning turnover seals the deal for the Birds

Completely off track, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up. Are Thinking of trying to buy Phillies playoff tickets? Well, if your looking to get screwed then try tickets.philly.com. They'll take your order, then try to charge you double after the fact. Oh, and if you think you might have any recourse, they all go to the same phone number. Take my advise from experience, go to a trusted broker and pay a little more.

Well, the green and white cloud has evaporated. After last night's embaressing play on national tv the Eagles played like a bunch of heartless chumps. The absence of Tre Thomas served to be a fatal blow to protecting McNabb. Winston Justice got schooled on every play. What is even worse is the fact that Coach Reid did not adjust and send help Winston Justice's way. Reid should of changed the blocking schemes - get an extra tight end out there, or double team Omenyiora. Throughout the game I did not see any offensive line blocking adjustments. The Eagles offensive coaches should be ashamed of their poor performance. It was no unfair to have McNabb running around for his life on every down. Andy Reid and the rest of the coaching staff should of tried everything possible to slow down the pass rush. Why not go to a two tight end offense and run the ball at the Giants? That would evetually set up the big pass play that Reid is always looking for. I feel bad for Winston Justice. Having never played in a big game, and being asked to cover an all pro, what else could you have asked? The Eagles are lucky they were playing the offensive bust Giants. If they were playing a good football team they would of been blown out. With McNabb still not back to 100%, and we may have seen the end of the double threat - pass/run McNabb. It is pretty apparent how an opposing defense should prepare against the Eagles offense. Rush the quarterback, and play press coverage on the receivers.

    FIRE ANDY REID!!!!!

Please ask Jamal Jackson to switch up the head turn right before he snaps the ball. The giants were getting a huge jump just by watching Jackson's "turn of the head" before he snaps the ball. In the first half he was a little delayed between the head turn and snap and that was one of the false start penalties against Justice. Check out the tape...he's been doing that since last season. Where's the hard count???

Well at least the Eagles and D McNabb won't lose next week.

You Philly fans are a JOKE! Its all birds this and phillys that...only one person on this board had the courage to predict that the birds (And McSuck) would blow another one (Which of course they did in spectacular fashion) now your football team is 1-3 and your only win came over the Lions...a team that has admittedly been playing well this year but has been one of the NFL's biggest jokes for years...now its the eagles that are the joke. Want some advise, ditch McSlab QUICK...either that or get used to watching them lose to far superior teams.

Oh yeah and your phillys absolutely continued your postseason tradition of choking...good job.

It is amazing to me how stupid Eagles fans are to the obvious staring right in their face. The Eagles are finished. The team had a great run for a long time. Most of that time playing a weak NFC, and then choking in the NFC championship. I think McNabb is so overrated as a quarterback. He most certainly has a tremendous athletic talent - there's no debating that. But, he is an inaccurate passer, and even worse under pressure. That is not to say that McNabb did not have potential to be a great quarterback. When I mean great, I am not referring to great like Joe Montana, John Unitas, Elway, Bradshaw, Brady, Manning, Aikman, Staubach, Marino, Favre, and the likes of all time greats at their level, but McNabb certainly had the potential to be a Superbowl winning quarterback. His only problem, and probably the most significant reason why he did not achieve the ring is because McNabb is not a big time gamer. He chokes in big games, and when the pressure is on him to perform and come through for his team...he chooses not to be the field general all those other hall of fame quarterbacks I just mentioned were when they achieved success. You may notice that out of all the all time great QB's I mentioned, only one does not have a superbowl ring - Dan Marino. Dan the man was an unbelievable player, playing most of his career without a running game.
The biggest disappointment in Philly has been Andy Reid. He is a good coach, and that is about it. I think it is time for the Eagles to start looking at a new direction. Their Superbowl runs are over. Last year's success with Garcia at the helm was a fluke. The Eagles have not been good since 2004. They actually should of won that game against the Pats, but McNabb and Reid choked down the stretch. I do not understand the thinking and mentality of Coach Reid. He wants to throw the ball every down, defying all NFL logic on how to be a successful football team. Is Andy Reid living back in the days of the AFL? The Eagles as a running team have averaged close to or over five yards per carry for the last three years. Why not run the ball more, balance the offense out, and take some of the pressure off McNabb? If you are going to throw the ball 70%, why not surround McNabb with better talent than average joe Reggie Brown (who is clearly not a #1 receiver) and Kevin Curtis (Who?).
