It's not uncommon in this town for actors to claim that they never watch TV and never ever surf the Web, so it was kind of refreshing to hear "Without a Trace" co-star Enrique Murciano (he plays Danny Taylor) confessing that he does check out some of his fan sites.
After a reporter noted that the "sites are really popping up online for Martin [Eric Close's character] and for Danny" and asked if he was keeping count, Murciano replied:
"I don't keep a count. I mean, I look every night," he said.
"If you want to know the truth, I've actually e-mailed the people that do my fan sites. I'm like, 'Keep the good work up. I'm sure Danny Taylor would really like it.' It's very nice when someone that you don't know has put together a whole montage of every scene -- a lot of scenes that you've done in the show," he said, adding, "And then they've airbrushed them to make you have no blemishes. And then they put quotes from old Meat Loaf songs, 'What I do for love, I do for you.' I just came back from Virgin Records. I bought the greatest hits Meat Loaf album. It's great."
And lest you doubt his sincerity at this point -- and hey, who wouldn't be weeping at this point? -- he continued, "I don't like those actors that try to play it, like, 'Well, you know that's not important.' It is important. It's nice for someone to give you the thumbs up and say, 'Hey, you're doing a good job, and we like what you do.' Getting up at 5 in the morning every day and going to bed at 9 p.m. is worth it. It's really...great."
