THAT'S ALL, FOLKS

The 2004 summer Television Critics Association press tour jumped the shark earlier today when a friend of mine passed the "Partridge Family's" David Cassidy in a hotel hallway and heard him singing, "Come On, Get Happy."

After 17 days in the celebrity petting zoo, she did the only thing she could.

She glared at him.

Which brings me to Phil Rosenthal, the creator of "Everybody Loves Raymond," who was asked the other day what he would say to viewers who are going to miss the show when it leaves the air after next season.

"Goodbye!" chirped Rosenthal.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
