Variety reports that Jorja Fox is headed back to work on "CSI," CBS apparently having decided that you shouldn't fire someone simply because she returns a letter by U.S. Postal Service rather than by fax.
As for George Eads, it's looking hopeful that his groveling to CBS chief Les Moonves in front of a couple of hundred TV critics Wednesday will pay off, too.
With an accent that seemed to get thicker with every sentence -- did he think he was kissing up to Dan Rather? -- the Texas native had declared that he and Moonves were "cut from the same piece of leather."
And no, we don't really want to know what that means. But we'd be happy to have them kiss and make up, so we can all go back to pretty much ignoring one of television's most popular dramas.
