I ran into "Complete Savages" producer Mike Scully at ABC's Wisteria Lane party earlier tonight -- where we got to walk in and out of the "Desperate Housewives'" houses -- and found a guy who's pretty happy with the outcome of Sunday's games (and not just because the former "Simpsons" writer is from Springfield, Mass.).
Seems "Savages" is doing a Super Bowl episode on Feb. 4 and that the writing staff already has a script that calls for the Eagles to play the Patriots.
Not that it would probably be all that hard to change the names of the teams -- the episode hasn't yet been shot -- but you have to wonder how much money the writer who insisted to Scully that it would come down to Philadelphia and New England won on Sunday.
