Charlie Sheen was here yesterday for CBS' "Two and a Half Men," and today it's his estranged wife, Denise Richards, who's onstage for UPN's "Sex, Love and Secrets."
Maybe that's why CBS and UPN didn't combine their stars parties this year?
Anyway, Charlie, who can look scary when he's crossed, got off without a single really personal question, but you can tell that there are people who'd like a quote from Denise on the state of her life, and someone made a run at it a few minutes ago, with a carefully worded question about what it was like to work on the show during such a difficult time and whether the "paparazzi" had made her life difficult during the filming of the pilot (which took place when she was seven months pregnant).
Richards wasn't biting.
"It was actually a wonderful escape for me to focus on work and not think about anything else," she said sweetly.
Meanwhile, one of the producers is up there telling us that a scene in which a woman sends her roommate into the shower with a lover to keep her boyfriend from realizing she'd been having sex with someone else was based on something that happened to his own sister.
If he wants to be able to go to Thanksgiving dinner this year, he might want to talk to Richards about the secrets part of "Sex, Love and Secrets."
