ROUGHING IT, CRITIC-STYLE

TV critics are on the move this morning, headed off to the sets of HBO's Western "Deadwood" and FX's Iraq-war drama "Over There."

South Dakota in the morning and Baghdad in the afternoon?

Not exactly -- southern California's a stand-in for both -- but from the way publicists from both networks are sweating the details, you'd think we really were shipping out today. We've been told, repeatedly, to wear shoes we aren't too attached to, light clothing that can get dirty (or maybe be burned afterward, I'm not sure) and FX, expecting very high temperatures, is supposedly setting up an air-conditioned tent for the press conference there.

Now if only we could send a few of those over to the troops.
