'ARRESTED' ON ABC? 'LONG SHOT'

"Arrested Development" fans better start saving for those Showtime subscriptions, because it doesn't look as if ABC will be riding to the rescue.

"I really love the show," said ABC entertainment president Steve McPherson, whose network had reportedly expressed interest in possibly acquiring the show when -- and it's more of a when than an if at this point -- Fox cancels it.

Though McPherson might be interested in the show, "I think it's a long shot" that ABC will pick it up, he said.
