I'm not an actor -- nor do I play one on TV -- but I'm pretty sure it's not much fun for them when they face a room with a hundred or so reporters and there's a long pause before the first question.

Mimi Rogers, who's co-starring in Fox's "The Loop," a midseason comedy about a recent college grad who's the only one of his pals with a real job, must really hate empty air, because a couple of minutes ago, I think she offered to answer questions about Tom Cruise.

(Rogers, for those of you playing along at home, was Cruise's first victim, er, wife.)

Anyway, we must have realized she was kidding, because people have begun asking questions about the show and Rogers' past personal life so far remains blessedly unexplored.
