CHRIS RISES TO THE OCCASION

Chris learns to sing "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman" lying on the floor. (Fun fact: Andrea Bocelli recorded one of the songs on "Amore" lying on the floor.)

Fortunately, he's standing for tonight's performances (so as not to wrinkle that nice jacket).

And it's a nice mix between regular Chris and the watered-down version we saw -- and yawned at -- last week.

Randy says "amazing," Paula jumps up and down (OK, mostly up), and Simon likes the song choice.

Overall, "Love Songs" hasn't been much of a theme night, but it feels as if only Kellie really deserves to go home this week.

(And the hate-mail lines are now open.)

David:

Chris is the man! Over all he is the best on the show. Lets just end the show now and give it to him.

SO LONG PICKLER

m:

Kellie has been terrible the last three weeks with last night's performance icing the cake. I'm also growing tired of her "dumb blonde" act.

Ellen:

Yep, humility might have saved her last week, but it shouldn't work twice in a row.

Chris was really good, but at this stage, I wouldn't count out anyone -- I can't remember a season when there were so many so close.
