DON'T SING TO THE HAND

Elliott Yamin confesses to chewing his fingernails and says he wouldn't make a good hand model. (Most people seem more focused on the poor guy's teeth, which don't have the porcelain look of nearly everyone on "reality" TV these days, as if everyone on "Survivor" gets $20,000 worth of dentistry before hitting the island.)

But he won't quit "till I'm a star on Broadway." (Yes, "On Broadway" was apparently released in 1978, the year Elliott was born, because it's THAT night, where the contestants have to choose one song from the year they were born and another from the current Billboard charts.)

Judges don't even mention his nails, and Simon tells him: "I think you're very lucky you've got two songs tonight."
