THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Paris was born in 1988, which after Elliott seems so five minutes ago.

Prince's "You Don't Have to Be Rich to Be My Girl" "Kiss" (thanks, doolerino) sounds like an oldie to Paris and apparently a newer song to Paula -- or did she mean that remark about preferring her singing the old songs as a compliment? -- but Simon dismisses her as "screechy and annoying."

Chris is up next -- yes, we're back on the "Idol" treadmill, with 10 songs in an hour tonight -- with something suitably scary from Styx, "Renegade" -- "Oh, mama, I'm in fear for my life from the long arm of the law" -- and finally Simon, at least, is satisfied with something he hears.
