'EVERWOOD' FANS SPIN THE WHEEL

For those who might be reading on the West Coast, posted below are details on the "Everwood" Ferris wheel event I mentioned in today's column:

When: Friday, July 21 from 1 to 6 p.m. PST
Where: Parking lot of Robert Louis Stevenson Elementary School, 3333 West Oak St., Burbank, California 91505.

According to the organizers, that's near the offices of the new CW, which chose not to renew "Everwood" for the coming season, as well as near Warner Home Video, which currently has no plans to release Seasons 2 through 4 on DVD.

Though I think the ship on "Everwood" has pretty much sailed, one of the group's other goals -- to get the DVDs released -- seems pretty reasonable, and shouldn't require a Ferris wheel to accomplish.

If you agree, you might think about registering and voting at tvshowsondvd.com, a site that some in the video industry actually consult when thinking about new releases.
