"Ugly Betty" wins for comedy, and America finally gets to see the real America Ferrera, the beautiful young actress who plays Betty under pounds and pounds of clothes. (Someone should really win for makeup, too.)

ellen, what happened to prince when he was announced the winner...I keep on seeing him on the live show in the audience.....

I know -- I saw him, too, and as you probably heard (or read here) they finally explained he'd been caught in traffic. Which is better, I guess, than being in the bathroom when his name was announced, which is what usually happens at this thing.
