We're in the room with the show-runners from ABC's biggest shows -- including "Lost," "Grey's Anatomy" and "Ugly Betty" -- and they all seem pretty cheerful.
But no one's cheerier than "Desperate Housewives" creator Marc Cherry, whose show is generally considered to have rebounded from last season's sophomore slump.
Slump? What slump?
"I was broke" before "Housewives" was picked up by ABC, Cherry recalled.
"People not liking the second season of your hit show? Piece of cake. Borrowing $50,000 from your mother? Not so easy."
Someone give that guy a MasterCard commercial.
