BETWEEN ROCK AND A HARD PLACE

Tichina Arnold can't take Chris Rock anywhere.

They're both here for CW's "Everybody Hates Chris," where Arnold plays the mother, and Rock's seizing every opportunity to drop the n-bomb at every turn, leading one critic to ask him to weigh in, yet again, on the use of the word by African-Americans.

"Why did you ask him that question?" demanded Arnold, as Rock replied, "I just told my broker to buy me 80 shares of coon."

Somehow this led to a question about whether Rock would ever consider hiring Michael Richards (in fairness, fellow "Seinfeld"-er Jason Alexander's guested on "Chris").

After a pause, Rock said he might be willing.

"I'd have to make sure all the other non-n------screaming people had jobs first," though, he said. "Once they were all working, I guess I'd have to give him a job."
