Well, we're trying.
A few minutes into the session for HBO's "Tell Me You Love Me," one reporter's already asked if any of the sex scenes had involved actual sex.
They've kind of skirted the issue so far, though Ally Walker -- who plays the one woman in the series who's not getting any -- has declared herself not a porn star.
Wading into the fray, I found myself asking if there was a possibility that, in a scene where Jane Alexander's character is seen pleasuring her husband of 43 years, she might have been holding on to something other than David Selby.
It probably didn't help that I first referred to Alexander -- who's not here -- as "Jane Curtin." (Hey, you try asking a question like that in front of a couple of hundred people.)
Creator Cynthia Mort declined to answer, which could be good news for Selby, who at 66 may soon be regarded as a god among the AARP set.
