SHE'S COVERED FOR MOTHER'S AND FATHER'S DAY

Lots of actors claim to love their parents, but Adrianne Palicki wears her heart on her sleeve for hers.

Or at least under it.

The actress, who plays tough girl Tyra Colette on NBC's "Friday Night Lights" -- for my money, the best show on network television -- is from Toledo, Ohio, which is nowhere near the Texas setting of "Lights."

But being from the Midwest isn't much different, she insists. "I love my family -- I have my parents' names tattooed on my body."

And she lifts her right arm to show off "Jeff & Nancy," explaining, "They're my favorite people."

"I did this about a month ago," she says of the tattoo. "It's just a reminder, because I think in this business, it's so easy to get caught up, you know, in the stereotypes and the partying...and it's my reminder they're my rocks."

I tell her I'm not sure that's what people think of when they think of the Midwest -- young woman having their parents' names tattooed under their arms -- and Palicki, who has several other small tattoos, admits, "I'm a little influenced by Tyra."

But she wouldn't tattoo a boyfriend's name: "Kiss of death. Kiss of death."
