I am proud to say this great idea, which has saved countless lives, was started by a Philadelphia youth group and their pastor in 1950 as a Halloween project called Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF. It is now a nationwide, year-round mobilization of young people engaged as active global citizen hunters, helping some of the world's most disadvantaged and vulnerable children.
