Kerry made an mistake, inadvertly insulted our brave hero's in the military and apologized for his misunderstood comment.I think he meant that if the students didnt study they would end up as dumb as dubya and do stupid things like get our hero's stranded in inappropriate foreign actions.
But how many times do politicans say they made a mistake and apologize for doing it. At least Kerry realized his comment was wrong and was misunderstood. Will dubya admit he made a mistake......I think not. After all when god speaks to you, how can you ever be wrong.....
