Podcast: Gratitude and butt-kicking

Not my title, but that's what they called it when I was the featured guest on the PhillyFeed podcast this week. Here's the description given:

On this week's People Paper Podcast we welcome back Flavia Colgan, DN editorial board member and progressive TV pundit. Flavia charges Philly citizens to take the city's revitalization into our own hands rather than waiting for Michael Nutter to do it for us, and opines on what we should be thankful for.

Check it out at the PhillyFeed site, or you can download it directly from here. Then feel free to post your reactions in Comments.

Flavia, your everlasting faith in the human race and how we treat each other and our places we live is amazing.

I agree with the fact of never understanding how people are so lazy they just throw their trash out the window, on the ground and just move on. I think littering should carry the death penalty, well, not really, but you know where I am getting at.

I have an 8 year old daughter and I have taught her from the beginning to respect this earth and don't litter.

I am 39 years old and slowly but surely this world is chipping away at my faith in the human race. I hope I can learn from your example.

Plus, I work for the government, that can do it to ya also.

Thanks for listening,
Sincerely,
TheBoss

Oh, and by the way, what exactly is a TV pundit?

Hi Flavia,

I just listened to your appearance on Philly Feed, and I am truly inspired. I was just over near the Zoo on Girard and 40th and there was trash all over the place. I saw something similar to what you talked about - someone finished eating and threw the container on the ground. I used to hate it when my mom would make my brother and I clean up in front of our house, but as I've gotten older I can appreciate that we can all make a difference.
