I just wanted to send you my thanks, for making Rachael's night that much more memorable. She'll always have this night and look back on it no matter what happens in the future. It will help her keep her mind on the good things and good times she has had and that life has it's ups and downs but it goes on and you make out of it what you want. These good memories will help to get through the hard times, and to remember that they are only temporary.
You helped make her realize what I've always told her, that she's a special and strong young girl.

Thank you

You really are making a difference on many levels and that is awesome. So much attention is paid to the things that are wrong in our world, but I think its so important to place more attention on the good things that people are doing. It inspires people and helps to create a positive outlook...

great job!!!

Congrats on the CBS shows. Is that the same shows you were talking to me about for the charity?

Would love to discuss this more.Love how you approach them. Your solid far out and right on!

These stories are gems!

I'm still not able to get through on your direct email. Glad to know that your new feature on CBS is going well. Hope you will havea chance to look at Comedy Cures website and see the inspirational work that Saranne is doing. She would love to meet you, and I would be happy to arrange.

you rock girl. K

I would have asked you to come to the "Race and New Media" conference I just had here in NYC, but it didn't even occur to me until it was too late--and it was also shocking to me how many Harvard/Columbia/Wellesley/media bigshot type people were willing to come--it was here at CUNY, in Brooklyn, which probably helped--with Omar Wasow as the keynote speaker.

I'm putting together two things now: next year's conference, that I'd love to have you come speak at--and an edited book of essays--and I really REALLY want you to contribute a piece to this--would you? I will swim to Philadelphia with your suitcase? We want a diversity of perspectives, not a party line (Omar is a moderate, FYI, definitely not as left as I am)--and I would be really into it. The book is on "race and (new) media, " with the emphasis on taking race apart, not assuming we know what it is--and I think you're great at that.

Watched Timmy's story and saw Rachel's prom picture!!! Your stories give hope for humanity! Timmy's spirit shines so brightly and his parents comments moved me (and I'm sure everyone who saw it) to tears. What a special soul. He has the same raspy voice you do. Too cute! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I met a young man on a plane last winter who lost his sight in an ATV accident 3 years ago and learned how to snowboard this year! I chatted with him for half an hour and it wasn't until I asked him what his braille machine was (just like Timmy's) that I learned he was blind. He's studying psychology and is mentoring blind kids. Same irrepressible spirit!

We shot a 5k for a remarkable agency that helps the disabled today www.hmea.org. they transform the lives of people, parents and children alike. It's incredible what one can do when given love and support and they demonstrate that every day. Emmett came in second place in his category and inspired everyone he talked to. One of the messages he carries is the celebration of life and diversity.

You rock...sweet dance moves too!!!
