As most of us have, I've certainly learned over time that most problems don't resolve themselves if they are ignored. Despite coverage of the war in Iraq diminishing dramatically over time, the war itself is far from over.
One TV consultant's findings on this - Andrew Tyndall's - are quite disturbing.
How can people sit back and let the networks and other media outlets allow this war to become a "has been?"

Let me assure you that the people most interested in what our news sources have to say about the wars in Iraq/Afghanistan are Al Qaida and their pals the Taliban,
The coverage dictates their morale far more than anyone here could perceive.
They are far more sensitive to it than most Americans or Europeans.
When they (Al Qaida/Taliban) make our news and when they read or hear about how "poorly" things are going, they feel like they are winning.
It feeds them.
For real.

How can they feel like they are winning? They lost. They can never win. Thats why they fight.Because they lost. They are the lost. They fight to die and kill and no war or peace will ever change that. Like a badger in a trap. They will fight until they die. The only ones who think in terms of win or lose is us. They think in terms of who is dead and who is alive. The war for them is lost for them, but yet they will still fight, until they die. In other words they could care less about the news. Good or bad, they will fight. If it was reported that we won and are winning, they would still fight. If it is reported that we lost and are leaving they will still fight. It doesn;t matter, only that they still live and breathe. Someone somwhere will always have the will to fight. Like a fire that never goes out. the flames seem dead and gone, but if you poke into the coals, there will still be an ember, glowing red, and waiting, deep inside. It will never end. Thats humankind.
