Citizen Hunters, please allow me to introduce you to an amazing association of entrepreneurs, Ashoka. This global group of innovators - or as they call themselves, "Changemakers," collaborate to find solutions to some of the world’s most difficult social problems.

In case you have never heard of the term social entrepreneur, they are individuals that seek to solve societal problems by changing the system, spreading the solution, persuading and engaging others to be proactive rather than leaving problems to government or business sectors to handle them. Some historical figures were the very first Social Entrepreneurs.

Take action and join the ranks of Susan B. Anthony, Vinoba Bhave , Dr. Maria Montessori, Florence Nightingale , Margaret Sanger, John Muir, and Jean Monnet, and become a Changemaker yourself!

Only one of us will step into the Oval office this November as the next President of the United States of America, but many of us have great ideas for the new administration in this very important election year.

Citizen Hunters, if given the opportunity to share some helpful hints with the next president, what would you say? The Better World Fund has created a site, On Day One, as a sort of electronic interactive suggestion box for our elected officials. Several celebrities, well known politicians, authors and ordinary people from a wide variety of backgrounds have already left fantastic comments of their own, and have been voted on by the rest of the community.
