A very dear friend took this picture so that no matter what and no matter where, I would know that he always stands by me.
We all need special reminders that no matter how alone we feel at times, there are those that love us and stand by us. It's funny how that simple truth can make the impossible seem possible and brighten an otherwise miserable day at the thought or sight of it.
I have a few things I carry in my wallet, purse, on my phone, computer, you name it, that I can look at to feel supported, understood, or just inspired. Some are from family or friends, some are quotes from authors who I sometimes feel I know, or people throughout history whose words are uplifting.
I hope this site can be a part of those things you look to, to know that you are not alone out there, that what you struggle with others have as well, or if they haven't they are willing to listen.
