Congress is thinking about cutting as much as 3 billion in funding for the fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa.
Take action and sign this letter in support of fully funding the fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa. HIV/AIDS has already taken the lives of 17 million Africans, 25 million are currently infected, 2 million of them children. We can not and must not turn our backs.
Visit the Action Center to learn more and find out how to get involved and make a difference both around the world and here at home.
Love the Flav!

Posted by: ed at May 10, 2006 05:35 PMWith our nation's global war on terror, why is more not being done to fight the terror of AIDS and HIV?
Do our leaders not realize that terror is present in forms other than explosive devices?
With the desire to fight our enemies on their soil rather than our own, wouldn't our government be well served to take the fight against HIV/AIDS to Africa? Putting a stop to the suffering in Africa may one day very well prevent suffering here in America.
Posted by: Amy Collins at May 11, 2006 01:40 PMWhat's the point of giving a bunch of meds to Africans? We can't even afford to cover all of those who are HIV+ in the US, let alone Africa! Everyone on anti-HIV meds must have blood tests and good medical supervision, something Africa can't provide them.
