I am a proud member of the Philadelphia Daily News Editorial Board. You can usually find the latest here. I wanted to make sure you did not miss this one. If you can donate an air conditioner or some muscle to put them in for seniors who desperately need them, please do!
On a personal note, I have a few I would like to donate that are in storage. Not going to let my dad move them this time since he pulled his back last time (sorry for outing you dad, you still look young!) So if anyone can help me, please e-mail me.
Great idea Flavia. I have a window air conditioning unit in good condition that I'm not using, but don't know where to donate in the Los Angeles area. Any ideas?

Posted by: Julie at August 13, 2006 11:56 AMFlavia - I might be able to help on both counts. My business (near Philadelphia) has a 230V 12,000 BTU room air conditioner that we no longer need. Also have a truck.
Posted by: Eric at August 13, 2006 06:11 PMEric you are an angel! Thank you so much for offering to get all these AC units and delivering them to seniors who really need them. We need someone to ride shotgun with you now to help carry. Takers?
Posted by: Flavia at August 15, 2006 02:21 PMIt was so good of you to spread the word that this was needed so much old or no longer needed stuff goes to waste. I am big on recycling
e-bay etc, finding new homes for unwanted things
rather than in the dumpster so good for you.
keep it up!
