    • 6:00 p.m. GROUP TRAINER BIKE RIDE: Every Tuesday and Thursday night thru the winter, unless circumstances prohibit, there is a group trainer ride 6:10 at Cycle Sport. We follow training videos for a 40min to 1hr workout, not including warm up and cool down. People wishing to "ride" with us need only bring their bike and trainer.     • 6:30 p.m. TRAIL BY NIGHT BIKE RIDE: Leave Corner Ketch Development (call for directions) for a ride on paved or gravel roads through the White Clay Preserve. You need a hybrid or mountain bike with a set of good lights for the front and at least a flicker light for the rear. There are a few spots where there are ruts in the road so a 10W light beam for the front should be used at a minimum. Bring your sense of adventure. NO GO if the temp is below 40 degrees at the start of the ride (www.weather.com for Newark, DE). We're afraid of ice forming in spots that may be hard to see. The ongoing, every Friday night, all year round, Friday night fitness hike, where we try to work up a sweat exploring the sand roads and trails of Brendan Byrne S.F. Be prepared to walk at an average of 4 MPH, 15 minutes per mile pace with few breaks. Bring water and wear well broken-in boots, shoes, or sneakers (sneakers are adequate in dry conditions). Socks are also important footgear, synthetics and wool being better at preventing blisters (avoid cotton socks).     • 10:00 a.m. STONY BROOK – MILLSTONE WATERSHED NATURE PRESERVE HIKE: 7 miles, brisk pace. See Wargo Pond, Stony Brook and visit the Nature Center after this loop hike. Hiking boots may be needed. May be water on some trails. Bring lunch for eating on the trail. Take Route 95 to exit 4 (Route 31). Take Route 31 North to a fork (known as the Pennington Circle). Go to your left at the fork and stay on Route 31 for approx. 2.5 miles. Titus Mill Road will be on you right. Look for the sign “Watershed Reserve”. Turn right onto Titus Mill Road and go approx. 1.4 miles to the Watershed entrance on the left. The parking lot is a the end of the driveway across from the Nature Center.     • 10:00 a.m. PENNYPACK ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION TRUST HIKE: Depart from the intersection of Davisville & York Roads (R2 - Willow Grove Train Station, near the #55 and #22 bus stops) or the Trust Center Office (2955 Edgehill Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA) at 10:15 a.m. Hike the trust grounds and along the Pennypack Creek in Bryn Athyn for a crisp winter walk in the upper Pennypack area. 8 miles. Turn left at Youngsford Road (traffic light), bear left and follow road for 1.6 miles to Richie Ashburn field parking lot on right. A beautiful 6.5 mile winter hike through woods, crossing creeks with some parts on or between private properties. Bring lunch and water.     • 9:30 a.m. EARLYBIRD KENNETT MIDDLE SCHOOL/HOOPES RESERVOIR BIKE RIDE: About 35 miles at about 13-14 mph along the branches of the Red Clay Creek and the surrounding hills.     • 12:45 p.m. AARON’S SUNDAY AFTERNOON TRAINING BIKE RIDE: Leaving from the Paper Mill Park, this will be a variable route training ride that will average 14-16 mph over typically rolling to flat terrain. Some hills every now and then. Look for 30-45 miles depending on weather conditions. We will maintain the pace to assure a good base miles type of conditioning to prepare ourselves for the spring. Be sure to call the ride leader if the weather is in doubt. We will NOT ride when temperatures are below 30 degrees at the start.     • 6:30 p.m. FLY BY NIGHT IN NORTH WILMINGTON BIKE RIDE: Leave Brandywine High School (Rt. 261, Foulk Rd) at the tennis courts for a 20 mile ride through North Wilmington on neighborhood roads; return at approximately 8:00 pm. Both front and rear lights are required for the ride. The pace will be 12-14 mph in order to not outrun our headlights. The ride will be cancelled if black ice conditions exist.
