  • 9:30 a.m. TUCKAHOE RIVER PADDLE: We will paddle the outgoing tide from Head of the River on Rt. 49 in Estell Manor to Mosquito Landing off Rt. 50 in Tuckahoe. Paddle time is approximately 2 to 2 ½ hours. There may be eagle sightings. Optional tour of the 214 year old Head of the River M.E. Church after the paddle. Lunch at Mosquito Landing.or Head of the River Church depending on mosquitos. Shuttle will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Head of the River Church property. Strong wind/bad weather cancels. Bring bug spray.   • 6:00 p.m. CYCLESPORT BIKE RIDE: 20+/- miles, Class: A. Meet at CycleSport bike shop on 252 & State Road in Media for a road bike ride to the surrounding area. Call the shop anytime for details and to check if the ride is going as planned if the weather is questionable. Distance is according to available daylight during the early days. Pace is around 14-15 and can be split into two groups for newer riders. Contact Harry at 610-565-9535.
  • 6:00 p.m. HANDLOFF PARK BIKE RIDE: Leave from Handloff Park, Newark (formerly Barksdale Park at the corner of Casho Mill Rd. & Barksdale Rd.). Each week this ride will follow one of three different routes. Terrain will be flat on the southern route towards Chesapeake City and rolling to hilly on the northern route into Pike Creek & western route into Cecil County. Average speed will range from 15-17 mph on the flat route to 13-15 mph on the rolling to hilly routes. Distance will range from 25-35 miles depending on speed and daylight.
