    • 5:00 p.m. CARNEY’S POINT, NJ BIKE RIDE: Leave from the Holiday Inn Express in Carney’s Point, N.J. Mostly flat backcountry roads through scenic farm land, 20-30 miles at 14 mph average pace, with one rest stop. Bring helmet, water bottles and everything you need to fix a flat. Directions: Cross over Delaware Memorial Bridge, follow Rt. 295 towards Trenton. Get off at exit 2B, turn left at 1st light and turn into Holiday Inn parking lot on far side of hotel. Contact Ride Leader: Jeff Britton at 610-558-4775. For last minute weather check on ride day call 856-540-2570.
    • 6:00 p.m. WHEEL & SPOKE HIKE: 5 – 6 miles, moderate to brisk. Stop on the way home for a turn around The Cooper River Park with a spoke up one or the other banks beyond Cuthbert Blvd. Meet at The Cooper River Yacht Club. Rain or flooding on Admiral Wilson Blvd cancels. Contact Leader: Jeff Neill at 856-772-6465.
    • 6:00 p.m. HANDLOFF PARK BIKE RIDE: Leave from Handloff Park, Newark (formerly Barksdale Park at the corner of Casho Mill Rd. & Barksdale Rd.). Each week this ride will follow one of three different routes. Terrain will be flat on the southern route towards Chesapeake City and rolling to hilly on the northern route into Pike Creek & western route into Cecil County. Average speed will range from 15-17 mph on the flat route to 14-16 mph on the rolling to hilly routes. Distance will range from 30-35 miles depending on speed and daylight. Contact Ride Leaders: Mike Salter at 302-239-0384 and Mark Taylor at 610-580-5760.
    • 6:10 p.m. CYCLE SPORT BIKE RIDE: 30+/- miles, Class: B+. Meet at CycleSport bike shop on 252 & State Road in Media for a road bike ride to the surrounding area. Contact Harry at 610-565-9535.
    • 6:30 p.m. THURSDAY EVENING IN HORSHAM BIKE RIDE: 15-17 mph, 20-35 miles. Start at Hatboro Horsham High School, 899 Horsham Road, Horsham, PA. We will start the season at about 14 mph and gradually increase our average as everyone gets stronger. Some hills to be expected, no one dropped. We try to stay together and will regroup as needed.     • 9:00 a.m. CANOEING/ KAYAKING SKILLS REFRESHER AT LAKE OSWEGO AND OSWEGO RIVER: New and beginning paddlers are welcome. Knowledgeable paddlers from the OCSJ will share information about equipment, safety practices, self-rescue, paddling techniques and efficiencies.     • 5:58 p.m. KIMBERTON FIRE BIKE RIDE: Lewis Neidle will lead the traditional show and go ride leaving Kimberton Fire Company parking lot, accessible via Rt. 113 or Kimberton Rd, and it will continue each and every Thursday. Departure time is 5:58 PM sharp with several groups (and classes) riding until dark on scenic roads with mixed terrain. Dinner and gossip follow at a local eatery. Contact Lewis at 610-722-5823 for more information. Maliya Piergalline will lead the C+ pace ride. The pace will accelerate as the summer progresses reaching a B+ pace by September.
