    Thursday, Jan. 31

    Hi,

Today was a pretty good day, aside from that UGLY picture of me in the Daily News paper. I guess I was sad because I am a fat trainer. I am sooo looking forward to the "After" pictures!

I had black coffee and a fruit & nut bar for breakfast; A fruit & nut bar and a boiled egg for lunch and no dinner yet. I am still at work, waiting for my next appointment. I plan to have a chicken breast & romaine lettuce, for dinner. I drank 32 oz of water and more to come, before the night is over.

I walked for 60 minutes today and will begin my strength training next week.

Thank you ladies, for your encouraging comments. I was especially thrilled to hear from my grade-school class mate Elvina! I look forward to making this journey with y'all

    Damali,

I admire you for getting your health back on track. I am in the same position and encourage you to continue to press forward as you encourage me with your progress. It is always difficult getting started.

I too was once heavily into physical fitness. I am retired military and I always had an interest in being a physical trainer. As I get maturer (not older(age 44)) my physical activity is off and on, mainly off in the winter and on in the summer. With this being winter and my mom having double bypass recently, I am trying to get and remain healthy. I start one week ago and have been running on the treadmill for 30 minutes and lifting weights, oh, and eating healthier.

I look forward to following your progress as we become slim, trim, and healthy.

    Ms. Lee:

    Hello,

I am in the exact same position (just about.) I just turned 49, I gained 38 pounds in 14 months, I am a breast cancer survivor and I NEVER wore anything over a size 12 before in my life!

I had a tram-flap reconstruction so my tummy was flat, however, now I have a fat back. I weight 185 and I am 5'5". My goal weight is 135 in 6 months. I will be following you so keep up the good work or just keep it up.

    Miss Mali,

Just wanted to give you a pat on the back fat for doing this! Seriously - I am so proud!! I have no doubt that you will be back to your old self very soon. Working with you for the past few years, I have learned how detailed and organized you can be - now you can use those skills to tackle this. Not to mention the strong spirit! Stay strong and be good to yourself along the way!!

Right on Damali! Berlaine, Landia and I did a three way phone call today and of course your "mission" came up. Much love to you and I'm working on some of my excess baggage as you do.
