He's not pleased:
"I am disappointed that there seems to be no relief in sight from this Administration. Philadelphia needs federal resources to make our neighborhoods safe, modernize our schools, and lift people out of poverty," he said in a statement.

MAYORAL CANDIDATE DWIGHT EVANS
STATEMENT ON PRESIDENT’S STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS
Who will speak for America’s cities?
“For six long years, Philadelphians have endured an Administration in Washington, DC that has either ignored or denigrated the needs of America’s cities. The Bush Administration’s economic, education and foreign policies have only resulted in a growing disparity between the wealthy and those trapped in poverty. These results have manifested most acutely in our nation’s cities, and Philadelphia is no exception. One in four Philadelphians live in poverty, our schools remain underfunded, and desperately needed federal resources continue to be diverted to support an ill-conceived and poorly executed Iraq war.
I am disappointed that there seems to be no relief in sight from this Administration. Philadelphia needs federal resources to make our neighborhoods safe, modernize our schools, and lift people out of poverty. Under President Bill Clinton, cities like Philadelphia benefited from programs such as the “100,000 police officers” program. Such initiatives should be replicated, not just fondly remembered. Philadelphia should be recognized as the regional treasure and economic engine that it is, not merely as an afterthought in our federal government’s misplaced priorities. As Mayor of Philadelphia, I will work with our federal delegation to make sure that Philadelphia finally gets our fair share of federal resources and is no longer forgotten.”

Nice, but if he wants to be mayor he needs to focus on Philadelphia and not Washington, D.C. He should've also mentioned the Administrations in Philadelphia, PA that for years have ignored or denigrated the needs of Philadelphia, PA.

so are you proposing that the next mayor should operate completely oblivious to the what the federal government is doing? given that tonight was the State of the Union address, it seems sensible that he would make a comment on Bush's speech. If you listen to what he Evans says on the campaign trail or read his material, you'll see plenty of mentions of mayoral adminstrations as well. It is also good to see a candidate who recognizes that Philadelphia doesn't exist in a vacuum - it takes effective leadership on the state and federal levels, in combination with leadership in City Hall to bring about effective change.

No, I just haven't heard much from him in that regard. And, yes, if you're going to talk about Washington today's probably a good day. Maybe Evans' other ideas just haven't been getting as much press coverage as they deserve?
Anyway I should've said "not just Washington" rather than "not Washington"

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
Posted by montreal web design | October 7, 2011 6:32 AM
The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.

Please read, I have a lot of experience in article writing and actually offer it as a service, Is there any chance that I could do a guest post for your website? I am willing to write about any topic and it will be at least 600 words. The post will be 100% unique as I will have a member of my team write it for me. All i would like in return is one link at the bottom of the post (like a resource box when you submit to an article site) If you are interested please use the email I have provided in this comment, as you can see it's my main business email :). I really look forward to your reply thanks a lot for taking the time to read this comment I know how long it can sometimes take to go through all the spam comments that people leave these days. Thanks again, Lee

Article submission is an extremely powerful process and too be honest I am not sure wether i agree with doing it automatically. My current SEO stratergys for article marketing are fairly simple. I outsouce an article to be written by a professional english writer, the article must contain at least 1,200 words and be of extremely high quality. Next i will submit it to the top 20 article websites based on Page Rank and traffic. After submitting the articles i will then do some basic backlinking and bookmarking to make sure they get indexed by the search engine spiders. I find that doing article marketing this way works extremely effective however i suppose that having the software submit less quality articles to the less dominant websites and then submit to the ones manually that you can't use a tool for with your quality article because at the end of the day quality backlinks never hurt anyone.

Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
