Check out the letter (mentioned first in today's Daily News ) that Dwight Evans and Tom Knox wrote to Bob Brady:
Dear Chairman Brady:I was dismayed to read the recent article in the Philadelphia Daily News in which you stated your intention to continue as chairman of the Democratic City Committee while you continue to serve as a congressman and seek the Democratic Party's nomination for Mayor in the May primary. The issue is not, as the article suggests, whether you have the time to serve in all three capacities or whether you would violate the City's ethics or campaign laws by doing so. The issue is your disregard for the obvious conflict of interest presented by your continuing to preside over the party and to control its apparatus while you are a candidate.
And the letter concludes:
I therefore respectfully request that you immediately step down as party chairman as you pursue the Democratic Party’s nomination for Mayor.
You can read the whole letter at Evans' Web site.
Wow, Brady's having a rough week. Knox is publicly calling him on the Fumo connection (and, with a federal investigation of Fumo heating up, the timing on that could be awkward). The people of this city who aren't on City Council have been appalled at the brazen attempt to boost Brady's coffers with the Jim Kenney-sponsored Brady Relief Act (and, actually, I didn't name it, that was a very clever pundit at the paper where I work). And now Brady running a Democratic primary as Democratic party chair and getting called on it.
Fact is, this race was doing pretty well before the threatened machine got defensive. We were talking issues and beginning to talk about how many of the promises of change were realistic and affordable.
The stuff swirling around Brady this week was particularly disheartening because it was so old-fashioned.
So it's good to see the pols themselves -- especially Evans, who is no newcomer when it comes to the game of politics -- speak out against it.

You're completely off base. This is just politics as usual in Philly. I guess these guys are getting scared of Brady now that he's in the race, so they're trying whatever low blows they can to discredit him.
I wish Knox and Evans would focus on issues and record instead of throwing mud.
Knox has no record. As for Evans, he has a story to tell.
What's clear is Knox needs to hurt Brady to win and if Knox does better, Evans has a better chance of victory, for for the moment, their odd bedfellows.
Once people get to know Knox (assuming the loophole is closed in the current campaign finance law that allows him to spend 3000% more than any other individual donor) than he'll impode on his lack of record and questionable business past in pay day and predatory loans.
As for Evans, he's doing whatever he can, since he dropped in the last poll.
On this issue the biggest hypocrite is Michael Nutter, who is bashing the party, although fighting as hard as he can to stay ward leader of his home ward. Ironic isn't it , coming from the great outsider???

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

Article submission is an extremely powerful process and too be honest I am not sure wether i agree with doing it automatically. My current SEO stratergys for article marketing are fairly simple. I outsouce an article to be written by a professional english writer, the article must contain at least 1,200 words and be of extremely high quality. Next i will submit it to the top 20 article websites based on Page Rank and traffic. After submitting the articles i will then do some basic backlinking and bookmarking to make sure they get indexed by the search engine spiders. I find that doing article marketing this way works extremely effective however i suppose that having the software submit less quality articles to the less dominant websites and then submit to the ones manually that you can't use a tool for with your quality article because at the end of the day quality backlinks never hurt anyone.

I am always sating hotels and the difference in quality and customer service still amazes me. I have done a lot of travelling through business and pleasure and the difference to me between a nice stay and a great stay is welcoming staff. There is nothing worse than checking into a hotel to find that the staff can't even really be bothered to servce you and show you too your room. I have also stayed at hotels where items of my personal belongings have gone missing after the maids have gone through the place.
