Over the weekend, NBC-10 released a new horse race poll:
The SurveyUSA poll, done exclusively for WCAU-TV, shows Chaka Fattah in the lead with 32 percent, followed by Tom Knox at 22 percent, Bob Brady at 18 percent, Dwight Evans at 10 percent and Michael Nutter at 8 percent.
Note that Brady gain, compared to the latest Keystone Poll. Fattah is strengthening his lead, as well.

Fattah will fall in the polls as he continues to propose new programs that are out of synch with what Philadelphia needs. With each new proposal, whether it be the congestion tax or the leasing of the airport, the more he seems to sink his chances. So far, Knox is surprisingly convincing with his plans and appears to be matching Nutter's vision as it relates to sound proposals for Philadelphia. Can we combine the two?

Good point, we shouldn't put too much weight on the polls. Those polls don't poll voters - just registered voters. I have a feeling this election will be about voting for a purpose and bring out voters that have a reason to vote, and want to vote. The candidate that can get the voters to the polls will win - The Knox Brady numbers should show that to be true. Knox doesn't have the foot soldiers to get the votes (voters with a purpose) that Brady does. Fattah should track closer to his poll numbers, he always gets people voting.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
