When was the last time there was a mayor from the northeast??? This would be a good poll for the site...

I have a question too...
Am I right in assuming that, being from the Northeast, Taubenberger would be in the 13th CD.
It has been a theory that the only person worth nominating for the GOP would be one hoping to raise name recognition in preparation of a challenge to Rep. Schwartz.

Rep. Mark B. Cohen:
"Al Taubenberger is a warm, friendly man who often goes to bat for people who need help. He does his job at the Northeast Chamber of Commerce with zest and obvious dedication. I am proud to call him a friend.
But Councilman Brian O'Neill is correct as to the odds against him. That he is entering the race without having raised any money outside his own $100 contribution is a testament to both his optimism and the uphill nature of the battle that he faces."

Republican Mayoral Candidate Al Taubenberger is a man of integrity, he has worked tirelessly as a public servant for the people of Philadelphia. If elected, I believe that he will be an excellent Mayor.
