(ETA: The profiles are darling ... on the importance of stickball, "booties up" and parks in their lives. Read the full profiles here; read the PCCY press release here.)
I'll post the answers later today.

Since I was volunteering at this event, I had a chance to watch some of the Q&A with the youth. There were a few questions from them that were harder than a lot of grown-up questions at this and other forums.
"and these children that you spit on as you try to change their world.. are immune to your consultations, they're quite aware of what they're going through."
If someone else attended and wants to start some dialog here, feel free!!

I attended as well, and was disappointed that ALL the candidates were not there. I agree that the youth asked the hardest hitting questions. They were also amazingly poised in front of a crowd of adults.
What was clear is that all the candidates that attended truly CARE about children. Who doesn't? What candidate will say they don't care about kids?
The bigger question is - what will they actually DO and how will they pay for it given the REALITIES of the city budget and mayoral powers?

Ooops, forgot to sign in before I posted above. I am definitely never anonymous when it comes to kids!
The candidates will face more hard-hitting youth questions on Friday April 13th at a completely youth-led forum at the National Constitution Center from 1 - 3 PM. This is a great time to learn more about what they will actually DO about the issues that matter most to our children.
What percent is that - 80% of success in life is showing up? Let's hope they all show up for the kids this time. It was shameful to see those empty seats the other night. If Knox and Brady are leading, we NEED to know what they will do that has an impact on our kids. Come on guys, come take a little batting practice with the kids next week . . . .
