So John Baer was there in Commonwealth Court (or is it Cat Court? Because felines played a significant role in the case before the one we care about. Just read his column.) as another court heard Knox-funded arguments to kick the Congressman off the ballot.
I am so not taking sides here. However, this in John's column stuck in my craw:
"Brady’s camp says the payments aren’t “income” since Brady didn’t get anything. It’s not income and it’s not pension, argued [Brady lawyer Steve] Cozen, so it doesn’t have to be divulged."
I call it deferred compensation, and gee, it sure seems like something of value that voters should know about. Or maybe Brady plans to donate that pension to hiring inner-city apprentices come his retirement?
Whether that means he should be kicked off the ballot, however ...
What say you?

You joke about Brady donating the amount, but who knows. Congressman Brady has taught at Penn for 11 years, and donated back ALL of his salary to a scholarship fund. Rendell got paid $180,000 per class at Penn. Would Brady have gotten that much? I don't know, but he has donated over 10 years of pay away!
So, your point aside, I think you made that joke about the wrong guy!

I'm sure that if Knox were subjected to this level of scrutiny by the press we would find a WHOLE LOT more than a pension that was NOT income in 2006. Too bad they appear to be on his payroll.
The first judge had it right. Let the voters decide. Knox is just used to buying his way and when he can't buy he's afraid to face an opponent so he's trying to get him removed early. Sad, and a little pathetic if you ask me.

Ask yourself a question, do you like John Street?
If the answer is no, then why on earth would you support Bob Brady??
Brady LIED to every Philadelphian, simply to ensure Street got re-elected.
