    From the Public Record

Noticed by the Daily News' Chris Brennan:

The Public Record, Jimmy Tayoun’s weekly politics-laden newspaper, takes some shots at “this city’s main print media” today with an unsigned front page story complaining that the papers have “targeted” Tom Knox, Bob Brady or Chaka Fattah while leaving Michael Nutter and Dwight Evans “relatively unscathed.”

The story points to a recent Daily News story about Knox’s previous political relationship with state Sen. Vince Fumo, a recent Inquirer story about the jobs held by Brady’s family and a Daily News story about Fattah’s Gear-Up education program.

Astute Public Record readers might wonder if it has the chops to play media critic. Next to its front page story is another article with a big smiling picture of Bob Brady, lauding his work teaching a course at the University of Pennsylvania. The headline: “Will our next mayor be a Penn Professor?”

Maybe there hasn't been much to complain about where Nutter and Evans are concerned?

    karen:

We Nutter supporters don’t have to fear that our candidate has skeletons in his closet that would make us regret our support!

My guess is the same is true of Dwight.

    Liz:

If the Public Record thinks that the Inky has something to hide about Nutter and Evans, why don't they just publish the dirt theimselves?

Oh wait, maybe it's because there nothing that bad to print? Nutter and Evans sure aren't playing fair by having such stronger records than then Brady, Fattah & Knox, are they?

Or is it just that the people who publish the Record are starting to get nervous that something in this town is about to change and their stupendus coverage of ward fundraisers is going to become alot less relevant in about a month.

Dan, I believe the quote is mine, and I don't need to stay anonymous on that one. The Public Record is a text capable of multiple readings, and various drinking games -- is Jimmy still pissed about medical malpractice? DRINK! Is a politician photographed at an ethnic event where he looks kinda lost? DOUBLE!

Of course, the South Philly Review still roolz.
