Catherine reports that the Democratic City Committee dinner was packed tonight. Held at the Sheet Metal Workers Hall, it featured four of the five major candidates -- Chaka Fattah wasn't there -- but it was really Bob Brady's party.
(Wendy ETA: I stand corrected: Fattah was there later, the campaign has told me.)
Brady was introduced by Jonathan Saidel, who led the crowd in a manic chant of Brady's name and, as he held up a Brady sign, cried, "It's who we are, it's what we're about."
The event is a chance to rally the base as we head into the last two weeks. All the Committee-endorsed candidates were up on stage, and folks enjoyed their cocktails and chicken on a stick.
In other news: Jannie Blackwell and Tom Knox were posing for photos together...

Janie Blackwell and.....Tommy the Fraud knox. What a pairing!
Let's see Janie oversees a devestated district and she doesn't work except from the money she be gettin from the public trough -a career loser that hurts our city and West Philly! The poster Queen for Term Limits!
Ah and yes -Tom Knox -the 400% lender that thinks he is helping poor people in dire straits -what a criminal he really is..
Now I get it -Janie represents poor folks -Tom lends money for 400% interst to poor folks and they call it public service!
Jani should quit -if she ever thinks she will be Council President -we should dismantle this government

Dear Jannie Blackwell: I think you would be perfect for mayor. Because you have a great back round. Mrs. Blackwell maybe you help me with a little problem that I have with section 8 I've been on the list for 14 years or more and I got into a little trouble which lead me to a c-class misdemeanor first time offense. I've regretted every day since. I am a Certified Nursing Assistant and now it's hard for me to get jobs, because of my back round check, and now section 8 has drop my application and I've been waiting all these years for housing for me and my son we've never had our own home. since he's been in the world I've always lived with my other father sister and now my girlfriend all I want is a home for my son and I. I've called your office and talked to Penny Roberts and she was a of great help to me and maybe she was the to speed up my application process.
