The Nutter ad is really cute. The only message in it though is that he has a stake in what happens with the public schools in this city because his daughter attends a public school here. I'm not a marketing expert so I don't know if that message is worth the airtime. But like I said it is a really cute, warm fuzzy kinda ad. Hmm...Maybe that was the real message.

Evans' ad is more accessible than the last one (although it sounds like it's narrated by Beelzebub). He lists some accomplishments, which should get some people's attention. Sounds like he's saying he "put more police on the street" in West Oak Lane, though. Can he really take credit for that?
Nutter's ad is catchy. It helps bring him down to a level more people can identify with and help alleviate the image a lot of people have that he's intellectual and aloof. The scene with him dropping his daughter off is also pretty cute... not to mention the message that he has a child in public school (should earn some brownie points in a Democratic primary).

I've seen the Nutter ad on TV. I liked it because it was about the public schools (I work with kids) and it's different than the usual political ad. He must have hired a savvy/hip ad agency - I'm guessing to grab the under 40 demographic.

Dear rebecca, Dave and Max... concerning the Nutter ads: one month out from D-day, giving the public an option of voting for one of your opponents is just not smart policy- THEY JUST MIGHT TAKE HIM UP ON THAT OFFER!
2. Revealing that your child attends Masterman is just STUPID!
3. Michael your consultants are killing you.
4. Fourth place= no medals or ribbons.
5. What the hell is an internal survey?

I love how everyone's resorted to attacking Nutter based on how his campaign's being run rather than on anything of substance.

I think it's really a shame how Nutter has exploited his daughter for the benefit of his campaign. What's really horrible about it and everyone seems to be missing is that his daughter goes to Masteman. OKAY, ...... Hmmmmmm ...... I don't think anyone would have a problem with the Philadelphia schools if ALL of our children could go to MASTERMAN. Let's see if Nutter is willing to transfer his daughter to Lincoln High School in the Northeast or West Philadelphia High School. Then we'll see how much faith he has in the Philadelphia public schools. Oh, ok, he probably would just have body guards for his daughter and our children would still run the risk of being shot or raped, but not his daughter, oh no. She would be very well protected. Unfortunately not all of us have the means for such security, We send our children off to school everyday and pray they make it home okay.
