Well, that's great and all. But they have no power to do anything in this situation except nag and complain.

And I still don't understand how Knox's last campaign filing (which still lists the funds he put in as a loan) doesn't match his statement that the loan was forgiven.
If its still a loan, then based on his behavior any "promises" has has made are illusory.
Which means, if elected, Knox will raise back every cent he has put into his campaign.

I guess Zack Stalberg and the Committee of 70 have no problem with the Daily News and the Inky endorsing Nutter a full week before the final televised debates. Didn't the D. N. co-sponsor the last debate on Monday? Now that's objectivity at it's finest! Look, Fattah had his time in front, then Knox, so let Michael and his supporters get a little sun for these next few days. It's only fair.

Fattah's no longer in first place because of all those blatant racial attacks against him. Poor guy.

After this election, you really have to question the effectiveness of Zach Stalberg and the Committee of 70. I mean, for all of the taxpayer dollars expended (including Stalberg's 200K salary) what has been gained.
Biased Media coverage, a Millionaire running wild and outside the finance limitations due to a loophole, and a cash fueled junta to put Jannie Blackwell in power as shadow mayor.
Philadelphia deserves better than this.

ZAch Stalberg is bad for our city - we don;t need him and I bet there are big money peoples behind him, especially in the media.
We don't want him in our neighborhood and we will do what we want to do no matter what he be sayin

How can you quantify hiring a croney electrician for Dougherty at 65K per year - when you clearly -clearly need more inspectors and clerks. When Mc Donald started to question the commisioner, he requested that Personnel post a Housing inspector position opening!
Look into it -you will not be sorry you did - this is a stone cold Street approved -Dougherty deal to infiltrate and control L & I -and the Commissioner wants to come back after he leaves on August 16, 2007 via the DROP PROGRAM. I can't blame him - he does nothing now and has gotten a real big ego since being appointed - you can take this to the bank

This is idiotic. Stalberg's going a good job, although it wouldn't surprise me if Brady supporters didn't agree (he did call out Brady's buddy Carol Campbell on all her campaign finance violations, after all).

Stahlberg does a good job. The media needs more coverage of his reports. Brady and Fattah will drive every job left out of this city. The construction boom is coming to an end, what kind of jobs are we going to be left with? The rest of the nation is booming and we are in the dark ages. I blame Brady, Street, and Dougherty for 90% of our problems. Let's get some good people in office around here.

Greg,
Excellent point! Brady, Street, and Johnny Doc, represent everything that is wrong with this city.
The Committee of 70 has done a great job. If anything, they need more teeth.

I never thought I would read criticism of the Committee of 70, I thought they were the good guys. There is nothing they could do about Knox's spending so its pointless to blame them.
