Knox puts more money into his campaign

Though, as Bob Warner reports in today's Daily News, he had said last week he would not put more of his personal fortune into the campaign.

    From the story:

On Sunday, Knox contributed another $1 million to the Knox for Mayor campaign, and on Tuesday he added another $250,000, according to campaign finance disclosures filed this week with the city commissioners.

    Anybody but knox:

    knox is a liar and a fraud...so what's new??

How about Bob Warner or any other competent news reporter expose this deal:

There is a deal between John Street, Janie Blackwell and Sharief Street (does not include Milton). Doc supports and puts workers out for Street to get elected to the At Large seat - Street's VOTE is COMMITTED TO JANIE BLACKWELL for the Council Presidency. Doc has been cultivating this relationship with Blackwell for the past few years, since he is an outcast with everyone else.
The deal between Doc and Street is REAL! It also includes the recent hiring of Tom Mcdade(check name) as a $65,000 Assistant to L & I Commissioner Bob Soulvible -this move was tucked neatly into this deal for Dougherty.
DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT WE JUST SAID? -L & I has a shortage of inspectors and clerks and these idiots hire a $65,000 a year assistant. This crap is why everyone wants to throw the bums out. The Commissioner (sic) already does nothing -absoultely nothing and he now has a $ 65,000 a year assistant from Dougherty.
WHERE IS THE NEWS COVERAGE ON THIS??????

If Nutter is elected this guy goes and Solvible is history.

    Electricians for Brady:

The only person who we can count on to deliver what we need to stop crime is Bob Brady! Brady can and will deliver. Remember Goode, and Street and do not make the same mistake again. This isn't American Idol - people are in real danger in all parts of our city. Brady is the only candidate who has served the constituencies of every area of our city for the past 20 years and almost always with little help from a sitting mayor.

Rendell may have energized center city, but his goal was to serve himself first -and he continues to do so.

Only with the cooperation of a sitting mayor can we judge any of the four real candidates on their past accomplishments; they are genereally hamstrung by the previous mayor's alleged "vision" and forced to work around their egos.

Brady can and will get it done - Dwight is very good, but serves us best as the Chairman of Appropriations in Harrisburg. Fattah has a future in DC, but he needs to focus on it and not be swayed from making his mark by his West Philly advisers. Nutter will make a great Managing Director and would be less proficent in the Mayor's seat -just remember John Street did not transition well at all from President of City Council to the Mayor's seat - he was a mistake!

To further bolster our position, Jonathan Saidel will be Brady's go to guy - and he will be better than Cohen...sort of like Cohen on steroids. He completely understands our city's departments and has been investigating them and making recommendations on how to repair these departments for the past 16 years! The previous mayors did not implement his recommendations, because they had their own agendas. Saidel is a super plus to the Brady vote- not to mention Lynne Abrahams's support.

Do not make the same mistake again -
    Vote for Brady!

    Linda Wallace:

Why is there so little discussion regarding millionaire real estate developer Michael Untermeyer's contribution of $155,000 to his campaign for sheriff.

Untermeyer has collected $272,000 in the race for Philadelphia sheriff, with most of the funds coming from real estate property management companies, real estate brokers, attorneys and consultants in the insurance business. This is more than twice the amount of money spent in any previous sheriff's race.

The vast majority of Untermeyer's contributors live out-of-town. As the sheriff handles evictions, foreclosure and tax sales, this would appear to raise grave ethical issues.

Untermeyer has declined to say if he would agree to a policy that would prevent his financial partners from participating at sheriff's auction.

He told the Philadelphia Inquirer's Editorial Board he would not divest his real estate holdings. He is going to let his "friends" manage his business.

Why do you now say Street was a mistake, yet the machine and unions supported Street in 1999 and 2003 for Mayor?

Saidel had 16 years as Controller - yet waste, fraud, and abuse is rampant in City Hall. He didn't get the job done then - why should we believe he would get the job done now?

Same with Lynne Abraham - turnover in her office and crime is rampant, so why is she spending her time being a hack for the machine responsible for these problems in the first place?

Always Anonymous! Did Dougherty let you out early today?

I hope Knox contributes from his personal fortune to the city's pension fund and to lowering our taxes if he's elected.

    Wendy:

Hey, AoK - that was a helpful last post!

Seriously, I have seen your posts about this Street/Blackwell deal. Is there something here beyond the traditional political deal? How does this L&I assistant factor in? e-mail me at wwarren@phillynews.com

    Jill:

The election isn't even over and Tom Knox has already begun to break promises. When will people realize that this hypocrite / parasite is nothing more than an illusion sculpted by his image consultants.

The Doc / Street / Blackwell / Knox alliance is nothing less than a cabal hell-bent on disenfranchising Philadelphia voters of their rights and property.

Knox is unfit to lead and must be stopped before he destroys this city like he has destroyed every business he has ever owned.

    Informed:

Wendy -ask Mark Mc Donald -he has known this for a few weeks and has not done a damn thing on it!

That inaction -is what is really wrong with this picture!

How can you quantify hiring a croney electrician for Dougherty at 65K per year - when you clearly -clearly need more inspectors and clerks. When Mc Donald started to question the commisioner, he requested that Personnel post a Housing inspector position opening!

Look into it -you will not be sorry you did - this is a stone cold Street approved -Dougherty deal to infiltrate and control L & I -and the Commissioner wants to come back after he leaves on August 16, 2007 via the DROP PROGRAM. I can't blame him - he does nothing now and has gotten a real big ego since being appointed - you can take this to the bank

    Jill:

I think the Inquirer owes us an explanation on this issue. Investigate and Report... QUICKLY!

    Anonymous:

Jill - Press this issue and you will extract the truth - it is soooooooo obvoius -it borders on being criminal, becasue the taxpayers and the Department are getting RAPED!!!

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It's very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

Wow! This can be one particular of the most useful blogs We have ever arrive across on this subject. Actually Wonderful. I am also an expert in this topic so I can understand your hard work.

I went over this web site and I conceive you have a lot of good info, saved to favorites (:.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.

I believe this website contains very wonderful written content blog posts.

Only wanna input on few general things, The website layout is perfect, the subject material is really fantastic. "To establish oneself in the world, one has to do all one can to appear established." by Francois de La Rochefoucauld.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass' favor.

I always was interested in this subject and still am, thanks for posting.

I am always sating hotels and the difference in quality and customer service still amazes me. I have done a lot of travelling through business and pleasure and the difference to me between a nice stay and a great stay is welcoming staff. There is nothing worse than checking into a hotel to find that the staff can't even really be bothered to servce you and show you too your room. I have also stayed at hotels where items of my personal belongings have gone missing after the maids have gone through the place.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

Article submission is an extremely powerful process and too be honest I am not sure wether i agree with doing it automatically. My current SEO stratergys for article marketing are fairly simple. I outsouce an article to be written by a professional english writer, the article must contain at least 1,200 words and be of extremely high quality. Next i will submit it to the top 20 article websites based on Page Rank and traffic. After submitting the articles i will then do some basic backlinking and bookmarking to make sure they get indexed by the search engine spiders. I find that doing article marketing this way works extremely effective however i suppose that having the software submit less quality articles to the less dominant websites and then submit to the ones manually that you can't use a tool for with your quality article because at the end of the day quality backlinks never hurt anyone.

An stimulating treatment is worth statement. I opine that you should correspond much on this substance, it power not be a taboo soul but generally people are not enough to verbalise on much topics. To the succeeding. Cheers like your Knox puts more money into his campaign (The Next Mayor).
