See, this is why I've been so grumpy about Ken Smukler's effort. I certainly am not trying to support Tom Knox. I just think the products of such independent attackfests are so disgusting.
Smukler, as we reported, has re-done his ad for radio -- and added a little bit.
There's now a voice-over at the beginning, which says:
"The following is the television ad Tom Knox didn't want you to see. It will now be played unedited. So sit back, listen, and picture ... sharks."
And then the audio for the ad plays.
At the end, the voice-over returns:
"In his demand to pull this ad from the air, Tom Knox said the use of the term 'credit heroin' was, quote, an attempt to associate his name with the sale of heroin. unquote. For the record, we have no reason to believe that Tom Knox ever sold heroin."
OH GOOD GRIEF.

Speaking of shameless, what is Knox thinking with attacking Michael Nutter with direct mail, suggesting that Nutter is not the real reform candidate? I can see where Knox attacks the other guys, but isn't attacking Nutter dangerous for him? Or does he think by going negative, he can get a few more votes?

He is? I guess I'll be finding that on my porch today just like the Knox/Blackwell stuff I found yesterday. Seems like every day I have something from Knox in/on/next to my mailbox.

Knox has been playing "whack a mole" with his dirty campaign tactics since day 1. Now that Nutter is the perceived front runner, he is attacking him.
It is now clear that there is no depth to which Knox will not stoop. Be it in his professional career or now his actions as a candidate, Knox aims for the lowest common denominator and consistently hits the target.
His behavior last night on stage also backs this up. His diatribe which ended with him threatening to kick Brady's behind is a classic example of how this soul-less opportunist operates.
Knox is unfit to lead this city.

Knox is a loser and a blight to the city -Can't we request that NTI demolish him and his HUGE ears and false teeth, along with his "clutch cargo" mouth -I believe that he qualifies as BLIGHT
