    The quiet attack ads

So, we've all written about the so-called "527" ads attacking Tom Knox, playing our role to spread the message for free.

And we know that the group called Working People for Truth has paid for air time to broadcast the message.

Here's my question: Have you seen the ads?

Please note: I am NOT talking about the Brady campaign's attack ad, which is labelled that it is paid for by the campaign (and ends with a big "FAKE" stamped across Tom Knox's mug shot.)

I am talking about two other ads, one called "Record" and one called "Service." I haven't seen the ads (and they aren't on the Internet anywhere that I can find, which doesn't surprise me.)

I've posted the scripts behind the cut so you can check them out.

But the question is, have you seen them?

    (Material in parentheses is graphics)

Working People for Truth ad: "Record"

These four elected officials have had their records scrutinized.

But this man, Tom Knox, has never been elected ...

So isn't it fair to look at his record in business?

    Knox says he's an outsider.

But it's Knox who has gotten rich off no-bid city contracts.

Knox says he played a major role in helping Rendell save Philadelphia.

    That's just not true.

And Knox says he'll put more cops on the street.

But he has no real plan to pay for them.

    Tom Knox. Fake, fake, fake.

Working People for Truth ad: "Service"

Tom Knox says he's a successful businessman.

But how Tom Knox made his money should disgust us all.

    Pay day loans.

As a banker Knox made millions

by taking advantage of desperate pople and charging 400 percent interest.

Knox says he was providing a service to the community.

("It was a service to the community," Knox said.)

    C'mon. 400 percent interest?

It's why none of us should have an interest in Tom Knox.

No, I haven't seen them. But I watch very little TV.

    Max:

I saw the first one on the Saturday evening local news (Ch. 3 I think). I was struck by the fact that it's tag line was fake, fake, fake and Brady's ad's tag was fake.

    Do I smell coordination?

    Anonymous:

well - let's face it, the word FAKE is a pretty obvious word to use when describing tom knox

    Anonymous:

I saw the fake, fake, fake ad twice this weekend and ten minutes later I saw the fake ad from brady. they don't look similar at all, the funny thing is all you hear from the knox people is that they are coordinated, but they don't deny Knox is a fake.

    Wendy:

My guess at this point is that they bought a small weekend buy -- when fewer people are watching -- and counted on the media to write about the ads to get the word out for free.

I haven't seen the ads, but my vote for either Knox or Brady is FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE

I hope they both lose. They're getting on my nerves.

Lets vote knox and put an end to this smear campaign.

    Liz:

Although these ads may be paid for with Brady's illegal money, what they say is true- there is evidence behind every one of the claims they make- Knox is a liar. Now those who don't read the papers can finally find out too!

    Wendy:

Did these go up after this post was started?

    Wendy:

    Just curious...
