    a concerned voter:

I haven't been following this blog as much as I'd like since the primary ended, but has there been any coverage of city council and judicial races? There are some contested races, most notably incumbent Jack Kelly vs. challenger David Oh for one of the guaranteed Republican at-large council seats (even Democrats can safely vote for one or the other, without putting any of the Democratic nominees in danger of losing -- there's an article in City Paper, just go to the website, click on "Popular" and then "Most Viewed." It's currently #17), Donna Reed-Miller vs. Independent challenger Jesse Brown in the 8th district and the fact that anybody would probably be better for Traffic Court than Willie Singletary of the "hookups," $11k in unpaid traffic tickets and suspended license until 2011.

Furthermore, there are 4 ballot questions, all of which probably deserve "no" votes (questions #2 and #3 definitely deserve "no" votes, as they're basically trying to create highly paid patronage jobs).

I know this project is called "The Next Mayor" and all but, as a service to voters, I think it would be very useful to provide an overview of what else is on the ballot either today or tomorrow.

    Wendy:

Concerned, I'd also point you to our online voters' guide. (It's here. Or see our guide to city council races, here.)

It's not the critical coverage of those races that you are asking for, but it does give voters information to compare as they make their decisions.
