So says the press release that just went out. And no, it doesn't say what that announcement is.
(Also, looks like Nutter has changed the slogan that ran with his Nutter for Mayor logo from "New Leadership. New Direction. A New Philadelphia." to "A New Day. A New Way.")
(edited to add) Any guesses about what the "major announcement" might be?

Good idea to change the slogan, it goes from campaign mode to the roll up some sleeves and really get to work now mode. It's all inclusive.

Congrats to the new Mayor Elect, the City is depending on you. A return to a mantra of Brotherly Love instead of Killadelphia is expected! Hopefully the "announcement" will pertain to the direction of the Police force and an appointment of a new comish. Its my hope that the Mayor will recognize the efforts of Rick Ross and give him the mantle.

Michael's big announcement will be. He wants the suburbs to pilot and benefit from his image , will and actions.
