    Rob Dubow is finance director...

...in the new administration. That was Nutter's major announcement. Dubow, as you know, is now head of budget watchdog PICA. Congrats, Rob!

Just so I understand correctly..... "Reformer" Michael Nutter, in an overhyped press conference, names Mayor Street's Budget Director as his Finance Director?

Nothing against Rob, who is a bright and capable guy, but Nutter should save hype for more significant things.

    Jasper Zeigler Jr:

Anonymous because you change the guard doesn't mean things can't be deceptive for one who is a significant political " REFORMER ". The more things change , the more they remain the same. Now where have I heard this before. Oh I remember. I heard it from a resolution entrant.

Being PICA chief does not equal being "Mayor Street's Budget Director." PICA is a state entity. According to the first result in my google search, Dubow was also CIO of the Commonwealth at some point.

    CFO, not CIO.

Oh, and sending out a press release about your "first major announcement" is hardly "overhyping"

from 2000 to 2004 he was Street's budget director

Rob Dubow is a talented individual who has served the citizens of Philadelphia well as the budget director of Philadelphia under Mayor John F. Street. When I was a young college student, (a few years ago) I had more detailed conversations with him about the fiscal situation of the City than you can imagine. The fact that he took the time to inform me and answer ALL my questions speaks to his character and knowledge.

After leaving City government he served the Commonwealth as the CFO and then went to PICA where has has done an excellent job of ringing the alarm about impending fiscal crisis that our City is facing. I am certain that he will continue to be frank in his discussion with the Mayor-elect and most importantly with the citizens as we enter a trying period in the life of our City.

Congrats Rob and Good Luck (God knows your gonna need it!)

    Charles G.

Mmmmm quite a documentation period coming.

If you get rid of all the "corporate knowledge" you end up with a disaster.
