The Phils are off Tuesday and hook up with the Braves on Wednesday night. Cole Hamels will face Tim Hudson.

Typical Phils' game I suppose. Hopefully the next 161 are better.

Agree with your stars...They love McCann down here...he is a great catcher. Sooner or later we may have to bite the bullet and play Bourn in his place...that takes away power, but Burrell is truly of no value right now....

About what I was expecting. Phils seem rarely to win on opening day. A series win would be an accomplishment.

Thanks for the updates. It was good to read between actual work. I agree with your stars of the game. The Phils wasted a good outing by Meyers. It is already playing out as feared. The bullpen can not hold anyone down.

The Phillies suck. Typical Philadelphia. Where is my championship!! Another year down. Hopefully McNabb retires so we have a chance with the Eagles. These sorry saps aren't good for squat.

My three stars are Brett Myers for turning things around after his domestic problems last year, his family and Phillies fans for being there to support him, and you for keeping those of us stuck behind a desk today updated on events of the game.

why blame madsen or the bullpen? if the phillies could hit with men in scoring position and not strike out 11 times, madsen never sees the mound and phillies win by 2 or 3 runs.
same old phillies, just more hype.
