OPENING THOUGHTS

Here's a few things I'm thinking about as the season gets under way. Feel free to let me know your perspective in the comments.

  • I don't like Jimmy Rollins' assertion that the Phillies are the "team to beat" in the NL East. Baseball has a funny way of humbling players who make such bold predictions.

  • How many games will it take before Charlie Manuel gets ejected?

  • What’s the feeling on Brett Myers out there? Is he ready to be the No. 1 starter the Phillies have been aching for since the Curt Schilling days?

    Chaz:

Phillies are the team to beat and so they will be. Beat.
