Bottom of the eight - Nationals 7, Phillies 5

Victorino lines a two-out single to right. Utley and Howard are lurking. This has to be the inning they rally ... and apparently the Nationals don't have any lefties available.

Utley skies one to the warning track for the third out. Howard, Rowand and Bourn will hit in the ninth. Of course, the Phils could be down by seven when we get there.

LB:

Yeah, sure. Something about lightening and striking twice?

LB:

10 men now left on base. Can't win that way no matter the pitching. And this is a last place team with really nothing to play for that is beating up on the Phillies. I do not want to hear any excuses!

Andrew:

Beating up? You realize we have won 2 out of 3 even if we lose this game? The Mets lost to the Pirates today. Look, it points to bad bullpen problems, but the phils score enough runs. Offense is the last of our worries right now. We should be able to win with 5 runs.
